The companies belonging to the WWForest Management
Group are internationally active in the core areas forestry
and forest management. The company was founded in the
year 1998 by the entrepreneur Werner Welz based in St.
Veit an der Glan, Austria. The involvement with the
forest and forestland administration has been part of
his family history for many generations.
WWForest Management is active in the business areas
purchase and lease of forest and farmland, forest management,
the timber trade and forestry services. Drawing on the
longstanding experience in this line of business gained
over several generations, good relations have been established
with all areas ranging from forestry to the roundwood
processing industry. A network of contacts and enterprises
ensures professional and efficient processing.
In Estonia, WWForest Management OÜ manages around
5,000 hectares of forest areas purchased over the last
ten years. The forestlands were acquired in several
partial stages making it possible to realign the boundaries
of a major part of the areas. Our employees are qualified
forestry workers, and WWForest Management is synonymous
with sustainable, environmentally friendly forestry
practices throughout all areas. With more than 500,000
newly planted trees , our forestry operations have achieved
an officially audited status certified as "sustainable"
and can be regarded as exemplary in Estonia.
The WWForest Management Group is divided into five
companies that attend to different core areas. WWForest
Management GmbH, Austria, is the parent company of all
enterprises belonging to the WWForest Management Group
and fully owns the companies WWForest Management OÜ,
Estonia, WERTHOLZ Eesti OÜ, Estonia, WERTHOLZ Latvia
